Nice Studio - Good Value - BASI Training Underway 3/14/2012

First, let me say it's nice to see the studio doing so well. The owner continues to maintain the equipment and keeps the studio in tip-top shape. There is always a receptionist at the front desk to great you and help coordinate future classes. The instructors adjust their training for me which is important. This customized approach is constantly monitored throughout each session making certain that I get the maximum workout possible without injury. Congratulations for reaching your 6 year Anniversary. more

Rockin PILATES 8/11/2011

Trisha and Jesse worked me hard while making me smile and laugh as the hour passed. I find myself missing the camaraderie almost as much as the expert instruction. Pilates takes mental energy and the descriptive approaches given and encouragement along the way are best in class! Thank you to Cassidy and her tremendous staff! TRY THEM OUT! more

Great Studio 8/17/2010

I've been a client for quite some time and found that this studio continues to be on the cutting edge of things. They recently added the Barre studio classes (your first one is free so try it!) which are very different from Pilates but, a nice compliment. I've shoppped around and the prices are excellent at this studio -$199 for unlimited pilates classes? I paid over $250 for something ""similar"" up in little Reno! There's a great group of instructors and I recommend trying them all so you don't get stuck in a rut. Definately recommend this studio to a beginner or more advance person. Lovely facility, skilled instructors, professional staff. Go! more

Las Vegas' best kept secret 8/2/2010

I am new to Las Vegas and happened to be talking to one of my friends about Pilates inquiring as to where I could find a good studio on the West side of town. A Body In Balance was highly recommended so I checked it out.\r \r The environment is wonderful and the workout was the best I've had in a long time. The certified instructors are quite knowledgable and worked with me to maximize my experience.\r \r I've never seen this before, but there are actually 2 studios in this location; A Body In Balance and Barre Las Vegas. Now I have even more great choices!\r \r I've already tried a few of the programs and enjoy the price savings which I really need. \r \r What a great surprise and a great tip from my new friends here in Las Vegas!\r \r Thanks! Pros: Nice staff, professional teachers, great pricing Cons: Initially hard to find - Behind Mimi's more

Yoga studio? No way! 1/12/2010

After reading the reviews about this studio I stopped by to check out their yoga program because I got the impression this was an actual yoga studio. OMG! Who is writing these reviews???? They had ONLY 3 YOGA CLASSES on their studio class schedule! Don't take my word for it, call them and ask. When I checked they offered 24 pilates classes and just 3 yoga classes a week!!! I cannot believe they call themselves a yoga studio. Totally, totally absurd. Cons: only offer 3 yoga classes a week! more

Great Deals - Great Instructors 12/6/2009

A this time of year, I always hope to find good bargins. Luckily for me, I found A Body In Balance.\r \r The ""Smartie Pants Holiday Special"" saved me over $100 dollars. With the same access to the Best Instructors in the Valley. A Great environment and a great feeling of being part of giving back to the community. Donations are being made to three square on behalf of my purchase. How great is that.\r \r I enjoy going to this studio and appreciate being part of this giving spirit.\r \r Happy Holidays - Thanks City Search! Pros: Professional Business & Instructors Cons: A little hard to find more

GREAT Studio! 9/26/2009

I recently moved to Las Vegas and have been searching for a studio. I visited several in the area before making my decision. This offer excellent instruction and a wonderful price point. Studios are often ""holes in the wall"" but, not this one. Professional yet friendly. Pros: Warm and welcoming more

Not Your Average Studio! 12/15/2008

Having searched for a place to do both Pilates and Yoga, I came upon this studio near my home. I've done Pilates off and on for years here in Las Vegas, and So. Cal. This studio has great instruction and wonderful pricing! $199 for unlimited Reformer Classes? I used to pay $24 per class! I just got in on a Yoga special for 9/$99 too! I've enjoyed classes with a variety of instructors. They did a very nice charity event recently with Yoga benefiting Child Haven ~ lovely thing to do, especially in these times! I really enjoyed the special treat the owner brought in for clients to destress for the Holidays ~ a heated massage bed! WOW! Pros: Great instruction, pricing and customer service more

Great Value - More classes and options for me 12/15/2008

In searching for the right place for me, this studio is the best! The prices are a great value compared to other West-side studios. In addition, I've also tried Health Clubs and while they are dirt cheap, you do get what you pay for.\r \r At a time when I am financially challenged, I am surprised by the volme of customers who also call this studio home. Recently they have expanded the floor to include additional ""Balanced Body"" reformers and they have made enhancements in their class schedules, allowing me additional options for my workout.\r \r I find A Body In Balance extremely competitive in price, especially when you consider the high-end certified instructors who stay with you through your enitre workout. I love the peaceful atmosphere and the professional way in which I am treated.\r \r Thank you!\r \r Pros: Schedules - Value - Instructors more

Worst Pilates & Yoga Studio In Las Vegas 12/11/2008

I absolutely do not recommend this studio to anyone. What a disappointment! What drew me to this studio was the extensive advertising which turned out to be FALSE advertising. For anyone who is a true pilates or yoga enthusiast this is not the place to go. The equipment is horrible, the prices are ridiculously high (I think the highest in Las Vegas), the yoga schedule and classes are a joke. The owner doesn't help for business either, after one meeting you never want to return! Pros: Location Cons: Prices, Equipment, Atmosphere, Owner more

Results oriented - Customer Focused business 11/27/2008

In searching for the ""Right studio"" for me, I can tell you that this studio is one big Winner. Many of the studios I have recently visited are too much ""A Girls Club"" with ""open - gym and teachers who pay little to no attention to me. Conversly, this studio is all about me and I love it! The instructors are sensitive, knowledgable and so dialed into exaclty the right pace for me. Each time I complete a session I feel wonderful. The pace is good and the exercises are structured for working general and specific areas of my body. Pros: customer oriented - sensitive instructors - great workouts! more

Are you kidding me? This is Las Vegas' best kept secret! 11/27/2008

At a time when other studios are failing, this place is packed. The prices are better than the last last studio I attended and not so stuffy. I Love the teachers and the studio environment, it is extremly clean and well managed. I live near the TPC and while this is a bit further to reach, it is so worth it. I'm saving money, meeting new friends and getting a great workout. This is Las Vegas' best kept secret as it relates to Pilates and Yoga studios! Pros: Great prices - WONDERFUL CERTIFIED and EXPERIENCED TEACHERS! more

Unfair, greedy owner, limited classes and schedules 11/16/2008

I do not recommend going to this studio! The classes have a very limited schedule. I purchased a package of 5 classes and stopped attending after 2 because I got pregnant and my doctor told me to stop doing Pilates unless it was adjusted for pregnancy. (They do not offer a class for pregnant women) I told the owner about my situation and she would not let me use the classes postpartum because she said that the package has an expiration date. I was absolutely livid! I had already been going to this studio for three months prior and purchased several packages from them. I give them a 0 on customer service and it proves to show that they care more about money then appreciating their customers!!! more

NICE Studio! 10/26/2008

Found this studio after doing Pilates at another place for almost 2 years. Of course heartbroken that the other placed closed, I really didn't want to go anywhere else. All I can say is that I wish I would have found this studio a long time ago! VERY well run, with an actuall staff to help you and most importantly GREAT instructors. Trying Yoga for the first time and loving the small groups! Pros: Positive experience, nice staff, wonderful instructors! Cons: Need a second location! more

Very limited yoga schedule 10/9/2008

I have to agree with another reviewer who considered this place mainly a pilates studio and not a true yoga studio. When you come through the front door and immediately see all the pilates equipment, you think pilates not yoga. I also agree that the room they use for yoga is small and the class prices high PARTICULARLY with the current economy. But what bothered me most is that they offer very few yoga classes each week so you don't have much of a choice. You get the feeling the few yoga classes they offer are just thrown in along with zumba? classes as filler - - that they're not really serious about yoga or they'd have a bigger yoga schedule. Cons: Not recommended, few classes, high prices more

LOVE this Yoga & Pilates studio! 10/5/2008

I recently found this studio after searching high and low for quality instruction at reasonable prices. I found \r both my Pilates AND Yoga expereince to be exceptional! The Yoga room comfortably holds around 6-8 making it a very personalized experience. The other Yoga studios in town have WAY TO MANY people in one room! Who in the world wants 30 people in a class? Not me! The pricing is more than competitive when you consider the small group size. Frankly, I would expect to pay more than they are charging. Same with Pilates, very personalized so I definately get what I'm paying for. I've done both Yoga & Pilates for years (off and on) and this is some of the best instruction I've seen....definately in this town. Pros: Quality Value and Convenience (just like QVC!) more

Not Recommended for Yoga and Ridiculously Expensive! 9/9/2008

From advertising I saw, I had the impression that this place was a real yoga studio but it's far from it. As soon as I walked in I realized it was first and foremost a pilates studio. That was reinforced when I took a yoga class in this tiny room. There was barely any space! I felt sorry for the teacher who tried her best to generate some energy but the environment sure wasn't conducive. I felt like the walls were closing in. What angered me the most is they charged $20 for this class!!!! What a waste of money. I checked their class package prices and they were also absurdly expensive for what they offer. I really felt ripped off! Cons: WHAT A RIPOFF! NOT WORTH THE EXPENSIVE PRICE FOR YOGA! more

GREAT Reformer and Yoga too! 5/4/2008

This is a fun place to work out with the BEST pricing on Pilates that I've ever seen! I started with some private sessions and then moved onto the group reformer classes. The classes are great because there are only 5 pilates reformers giving you hands on instruction in a small class. I enjoy working with different teachers so my workout doesn't get stale. The classes give you the help you need so you get a great workout at a reasonable price. Do yourself a favor a check out the YOGA classes.! Small classes and good instructors! Pros: pilates and yoga more

Professionally run studio with nice atmosphere 4/30/2008

New to town but not new to Pilates, I checked out all the studios in town ~ this one definately has an edge. The prices are great and it's professionally run with a staff, computer and the whole bit. While other places didn't even return a phone call the staff and owner took a great deal of time with me. I have numerous injuries that require special attention. I just signed up for a special for unlimited classes! Recommeded to several people. Pros: great pricing, location and helpful staff Cons: like to see some Pilates mat classes more

Finally, a professionally run Pilates studio with all the right stuff! 3/1/2008

I was introduced to this studio during the ""Go Red for Women"" event, where the owner had setup a small booth supporting the event and this important cause. Subsequently, I attended a Pilates class for the very first time; everything was wonderful about the experience. The studio is beautiful, warm and professionally run. I felt that the instructor that worked with me, took extra time to learn about me and to ensure that I was performing the exercises correctly. Surprisingly, I felt better than I had for many, many years. The workout was challenging and afterwards I felt relaxed and rejuvenated. \r \r As a business executive where pressures of the job (especially in the gaming industry) are so intense, it is comforting and refreshing to know that I now have a great alternative in Pilates to help maintain my health and diminish the accumulated stress of weekly anxieties. I now start my weekends at A Body In Balance to improve my health, take the edge off a busy week and enjoy the attributes of a well run studio.\r \r Small businesses struggle to find the right balance for success, this one however, has all the right stuff. \r \r Great job and Thank you!\r \r Pros: Professionally operated, Relaxing environment, Certified and caring instructors more
