I want to thank you and the Better Moving Team for the best move I have ever had. Since this was my fourteenth move, I do not give this praise lightly. Each and every team member was well-spoken and polite, taking the time to introduce themselves individually before the work began. During the pack, they were considerate of my home and my belongings, making sure to consult with me about anything that required special handling. Throughout that first day, your men worked diligently, cooperatively and cheerfully. They also worked smart. The decision to move the boxes and smaller furniture into the garage for pre-load made the actual move day as efficient as possible. Already confident that this was a well-oiled team, I was even more impressed during the actual move. Much of our furniture is from Indonesia, which not only means that it is large and unusually heavy, but it also means that it comes apart like a complex puzzle that requires dismantling and reassembling in a very specific order. I have had to babysit more movers than I care to count as these pieces have gone from house to house. This was not at all the case with your team, who handled this uncommon furniture deftly. In the same way that my furniture is like a puzzle, moving it into my new, significantly smaller home was also like a puzzle. Each piece had to come in in a specific in order to maintain clear passage and navigable rooms. This meant that many things had to be staged outside before being brought into the home. As with all other aspects of the move, the men did this carefully and cheerfully. In two rather full days, I never heard a cross word or complaint. While feeling good about the actual move is important, the final proof of a successful move is in the pudding. Not a single piece of furniture was damaged, nor any of my large paintings or the 6? marble slab table top. Likewise, everything that has come out of boxes is in superb condition, the best example of which is my daughter?s extensive doll collection which has usually required some level of primping after a move. I don?t know what your guys did, but not a single hair was out of place and the dolls dresses were not even wrinkled.
