I applied at Stat and from the beginning it was unprofessional, the main lady there gripped about PRN throughout the whole interview. She put me on hours only to have me added as an "extra" 3 days out of the week. She had 2 nurses scheduled at one site, she did it not the agency, then she would call and cancel us. When I called about my check being late she called me back and told me " To read my handbook that I was orientated for 2 hours and if I dont have the ability to read that was my problem" Yes that is how she treated me and other workers. If you are cancelled Friday night for Saturday morning they dont let you know till 2 hours before your shift you are cancelled ever. "This is why you are agency nurses this is how it works and how we operate I was told" " If you cant make plans then to bad thats how it goes" she tells me. I have talked to her other Nurses and aides and they had nothing nice to say about her. There is definately bullying going on there. I will stay at PRN they are so nice and fair about things.
