I went to see Dr Perkins when she couldn't get into Dr Pullias. I had strep throat and had already completed treatment for 7 days of an expensive antibiotic given by Dr. Pullias that hadn't worked. Once strep was confirmed by Dr Perkins I requested a generic for 10 days to make sure the strep was knocked out and something I could afford. He told me he would give me what he felt I needed. I again let him know I was having trouble getting to work because of sick and couldn't afford a high price prescription. He asked about my cell phone and who paid for that. I told him my mother on a family plan and he went on to say "Your mother will pay for your cell phone but wont pay for your name brand prescriptions!" My mother had nothing to do with it. She would of if I asked but fact was there are generics available that he wouldn't get a kick back on from the pharmaceutical raps that hang out heavy at the offices there. Nurse Practitioners are big with this group of doctors and there is a long wait and it's hard to get in if you get sick. Not someone I'll go see again. I left his office in tears and completely stressed out.
