I took my old pickup to a local Firestone shop to fix a screeching noise that was just beginning to develop. They spent about 2 hours replacing fan belt pulleys to no effect and finally told me they couldn't fix it. Over the next week or so the noise worsened. I then took it to John at A1 Transmission thinking I had a transmission problem and expecting it to cost me big $$$. John diagnosed and fixed the problem, a seized fan clutch, it cost me much less than I thought it would. I appreciated John’s honesty in not trying to rip me off for more. Since he is the owner and operator he has an interest in dealing fairly with his customers.
