This review is for the Boot Camp I acting program at The Acting Corps. Overall, I enjoyed my classes and got so much from it. A large part of how much you will get out of it is dependent on your dedication to putting in the work. If you don't want to work at acting every day, this isn't the place for you.
One of the themes of the program, or at least, what you should come out of the classes with is how to "be in the moment." Meisner stuff, which I had never done before this. I thought this was useful and interesting in terms of how one would go about a scene and still be fresh even though you know what is coming next, and having done the scene again and again as is the case in film.
One last thing, I loved that I worked in every class. Maybe this makes me a selfish actor, but I hate when I just sit there and watch. I don't think I'm selfish, I just learn my doing, not watching.
I hope to take Boot Camp II in the future.
