Beware of Allstate,pay the extra dollar to get a good company. They will tell you what you want to hear and proclaim to be such an outstanding company when in reality they are one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. They have what they call a customer service department, well someone needs to manage this department. Every time I tried to reach my agent all I got was voicemail needless to say my calls were not returned even tried email to no avail same thing no response. They hire low rate moving companies to handle your move. The movers showed up at 6:30 at night to start packing our home up for the move unheard of. They damaged a piece of furniture before they even got it out of the house. I scheduled the delivery and gave them a window from the 12th to 16th never happened just got lip service from the agent(typical through the whole process)they then informed me that our furniture would be delivered on the 19th and once again never happened. The agent couldn't even tell me where our stuff was. The furniture finally arrived on the 23rd with numerous pieces being damaged as well as items not even on the truck(King Mattress and Box Springs)this is a large item to not be on the truck. When I spoke to the agent about this there was no concern with them. Allstate needs to understand that they work for the customer we are the ones paying them. They really need to screen their movers better to ensure that their customers are getting a top rate service. Lastly they need to control their subcontracted movers and direct them not let the movers dictate the work to them. Please read reviews on other sites before hiring Allstate. The Allstate site shows a lot of high ratings but if you look at the others you will see the real reviews more
