I agree that Mervyn's Department stores has great sales and quality merchandise, however, the customer service at the Lakewood Mall location is terrible. I believe it is a training issue and therefore it is the Mervyns management team fault that customer service is not a priority. The store is also very messy and not just during sales events, again due to the lack of direction and action from the Mervyns management team. I have tried to express this directly to any store manager at the Lakewood Mall location, however, none of them ever respond to the pages from the desperate cashier/sales staff. It is very frustrating to know there is a Mervyns in my neighborhood, but instead drive out to another Mervyns the next city over where customer service is valued and merchandise is always available and organized.
