My family and I had never been snow-tubing before, so when we had some free time we made sure to drive for two hours to come to Camelback up in the Pennsylvania Poconos in Tannersville. If you're coming in from Jersey, this is one of the most convenient ski areas. It is large and nice, but the crowds can be overwhelming. I had to wait for almost 20 minutes just to board the snow tube. It seemed like the staff could be more diligent. Also, it is not as beautiful here as other skiing areas. Making matters worse, the accomodations nearby are overpriced (I paid $150 for Ramada Inn.) and need a sprucing up. The price to enter is also a little high, so I would come later to get a discount.
