Waste of time and money. 2/9/2009

I was so excited to go skiing for my first time at Camelback. Little did I know, how expensive it would be. It cost me $90.00 to go skiing for the day. The staff members were extremely rude and refused to help me with any questions or concerns I had. I guess that's what you get for hiring a bunch of 17 year olds to run a ski resort. I will NEVER ever go back to this place and I would never recommend this place to anyone. I had a horrible time here. more

Well known establishment = crowded, crowded, crowded 11/18/2008

Good: There are two lodges, that they sometimes have live music, and I love this place for mid-week visits. The terrain park has nice features.. Bad: It is too crowded which creates/exacerbates many problems.. Improvements: More trails to relieve congestion (wishful thinking, I know). Less flats and better trail design in general (too many converging trails of varying difficulties). more

Camelback Ski Area 1/9/2007

The weather hasn't been cooperating in the Pocono Mountains this winter but that hasn't stopped the skiers at Camelback Ski Resort in the Pocono Mountains from enjoying a favorite winter pastime. Camelback has been making snow and the skiers have been traveling to the area. About five trails have been opened on a daily basis and by the end of this week they hope to be up to 9 trails and 5 lifts, the Snow tubing park will be opening this Saturday with 3 chutes and 1 lift. Camelback Ski Area is located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains with 33 trails and 13 lifts including two high-speed quads, snowboard halfpipe, two terrain parks, and a wide selection of trails for all ability levels. Night skiing is available on all trails. This season the Laurel Glade Park will be re-configured as a learning park and Rhododendron Glen set aside for advanced skiers and riders. A new half pipe will be constructed on Oak Grove. This season Camelback will be offering a Ski and Snowboard Check on the Annex Deck in the Base area for $1.00 on Weekends and Holidays. (This service will be complimentary to snowboarders who rent from Camelback's rental shop). The outside edge will also be open on the Annex Deck, You can get your skis or snowboard tuned while having lunch. Snow-tubing... 12/30/2005

My family and I had never been snow-tubing before, so when we had some free time we made sure to drive for two hours to come to Camelback up in the Pennsylvania Poconos in Tannersville. If you're coming in from Jersey, this is one of the most convenient ski areas. It is large and nice, but the crowds can be overwhelming. I had to wait for almost 20 minutes just to board the snow tube. It seemed like the staff could be more diligent. Also, it is not as beautiful here as other skiing areas. Making matters worse, the accomodations nearby are overpriced (I paid $150 for Ramada Inn.) and need a sprucing up. The price to enter is also a little high, so I would come later to get a discount. more

Fun for Summer 8/29/2005

Camelback turns into Camelbeach for the summer with mega water slides, rivers, and tubes. It is so much fun for a hot day. You can have a full day of fun for a decent price. There is also a picnic area to enjoy your brought from home lunch. Lines can be long but they do move quickly! more

Fun! 8/29/2005

The waterpark here is a lot of fun. They have a ton of slides and a huge wave pool. It is best to go here with a group of people because a lot of the rides have tubes that can fit several. The park itself seems clean and well maintained. There are lots of places to grab food, mostly burgers and icecream places. It's best to try and find discount coupons before going here since tickets are almost $30 a person. This is a fun place to go during a hot summer day. more
