Scripps may be a wonderful medical healthcare system but their billing department is incredibly incompetent. I have been under the care of many Scripps physicians and have been a patient in their hospital and ER. I have no complaints with the medical staff. I have, however, received numerous erroneous bills from their billing department and had to call to correct errors. The errors are usually not corrected on the first, second or third calls and some errors have taken as long as a year to correct. It's infuriating and finally was the reason I left the Scripps system. There aren't enough hours in the day to correct their billing errors.
