We just rented a Class C at Lakeshore RV in Muskegon and were disappointed in the customer service. We rented the RV 5 months in advance in February and were shown a 2005 Class C. When we went to pick it up on July 21st, it was a 2004 model with many more miles on it. We went to the Grand Canyon and back, putting over 4000 miles on it. During that time,we found out that:
1) the brakes were shot-metal grinding on metal! Very unsafe!
2)the holding tank monitor was broken, causing us to think the tanks hadn't been emptied prior to our trip.
3)two out of the three roof vents were broken-my husband had to duct-tape them closed so the air-conditioning didn't escape.
Each time we informed the personnel at Lakeshore, they seemed unconcerned. Their customer services skills seem to be lacking. Although we enjoyed our trip, problems with the RV put stress on us, not knowing what else would go wrong.
