We adopted our 6 year old boxer, Max, when he was 8 or 9 months old. We had been looking for a few months and wanted a new family member, and a playmate for our other dog.
We went to the Kootenai Humane Society with the intention on adopting and saving a dog from the shelter life and to give him/her a new family and a new chance.
The Kootenai Humane Society is a non-profit organization funded totally from donations, adoptions and grants. This is a fantastic organization and they have a NO-KILL policy and we are a proud sponsor of them throughout the year. We donate dog food and money several times a year.
