My family has been eating at this restaurant for years and years (so much so that my mom still calls it the Workman's Cafe). It beats out Zosia's(sp?) and Under The Eagle easily.
For the brave, traditional dishes like czarnina (duck blood soup). I usually stick to potato pancakes (which can be a little greasy) that are typically crunchy on the outside and soft and tasty on the inside. The dill pickle soup is made on most days and should not be missed! It's always served with russian rye bread that tastes like it came straight from The New Palace Bakery across the street.
Say hello to the polish ladies rolling out pierogies on your way to the bathroom!
