I had 2 recent surgeries at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. The first one was in January of 2006; it was outpatient. The staff and doctors took excellent care of me.
The second surgery was in late March of 2006. Again, a good experience. This visit was in-patient. The nurses took great care of Yours Truly. I had a problem with nausea and anxiety when I was supposed to be discharged and had to stay another day, and the nurse promptly called my doctor, and he ordered something for the nausea. It must've worked because I didn't get ill and actually went to sleep for several hours.
I had my pre-operative testing done at Good Sam, and the Surgicare staff did a good job with that.
I will also let you know that you can apply for financial assistance in an easy manner; it's on the back of your bill.
I'm trying to stick with this hosptial for most of my needs since they already are quite familiar with me (ha ha).
Watch out when exiting the parking garage (Upper Dixmyth Garage) when you go down the ramps to get to the light because if you have a large vehicle, you can easily get your tires stuck on the curb and might loosen your hubcap (grins).
I don't recommend exiting the other way if you can help it because you cannot see very well to get out onto Clifton Avenue if there are cars coming because they might take your front end off.
