When I first started attending Pitt, I was told I had to go to Gullifty's for their amazing desserts. When I finally ordered my first slice of some chocolatey pie, I was extremely disappointed. The pies they display in the cases in the front look extremely rich and decadent. When I received my piece it looked as if someone got whip cream and chocolate and mixed it together then threw it into a pie shell. The taste was comparable to the cream pies at Eat n Park but for much more money. I was expecting unique ingredients with interesting flavors and terrific presentations. As for the food, the menu didn't seem like it offered anything different then traditional foods, so I didn't even try it after my pie experience. Hope your experience is better than mine!
