My neice and her room mates rented half a house from this real estate agent for over 1000 dollars a month.
I saw this place before they moved any furniture in and the place was a dump, Filthy with ripped wall paper, no lights in the bathroom, kitchen cupboards sitting on the floor, doors off rooms and no basic services that were included in the rent. The kids payed a 2000. dollar deposit and first months rent and when the kids confronted the owner about fixing up the place he cancelled their lease and evicted them.
The courts let him keep the money when he claimed that the kids wrecked the place then he rented the place out to another bunch of college students and did the same to them.
Don't rent from these people and if you do take picture of the place, call in the housing code to inspect the place before you move in and get written statements from this landlord about all the repairs that are needed before you give them any money.
