Recently I stayed at the Chateau Marmont in LA and it was very nice. The staff was very nice, knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating. The room service was quick, although the food was only okay. The rooms are decent, but you are definitely paying for the atmosphere, location and history of the hotel. There is a lot to do since its on Sunset. You can walk to many restaurants, clubs, coffee houses and much much more. I would recommend staying here. My only gripe was the elevator is really old, slow and scary.
