Lou's La Grotto is a local favorite of everyone in the Illinois Valley. They are best known for their garlic nuggets, which are simply bread dough with butter, garlic, and parmesan cheese dipped in marinara sauce, and their deep dish pizza. I would suggest trying both if you are a first time customer! All that bread dough fills you up fast, so you will probably be bringing some home. I also enjoy the deep fried pickles, which sound strange but are actually good! The only thing I don't like about La Grotto's is the chicken that they put in their salads and on their fettuccine alfredo - it has the texture of strange, processed chicken. Other than that, this is a great place to try!!
