I had problems with Clear from the start. The service was incredibly slow and would fade in and out. I was trying to take some online video courses at the time and wound up having to cancel them when it took me days to make it through a two-hour tutorial. I called Clear's Tech Support dozens of times, but all they advised me to do was move the modem from the front of my apartment to the back, or vice versa. There was lots of tears and cursing involved for about a year. I moved to another neighborhood where Clear did not operate, and they wanted to charge me an early termination fee. They also charged for me for a month of service that I did not use, claiming I had not called to cancel my service when I moved. (I had.) This was the worst experience I've had with an Internet provider by far, and I would definitely recommend not using them.
