Vaccaro's pastry shop is by far the best Italian pastry shop I've ever been to--a restaurant that serves nothing but desserts. And coffee, which is also wonderful. Their dessert portions are huge--definitely hard to finish even if you eat dessert before dinner. They have a great selection of Italian ice creams, cookies and cakes. It can be hard to get a table--but Vaccaro's is totally worth the wait.
