Franklin's is part of a renaissance taking hold in downtown Hyattsville, and it seems to be the anchor for new shops popping up in this area of Prince George's County, near northeast DC. The food is your typical urban eatery type fare....quesadillas, burgers, etc., and it's done well. The service is pretty good and you never have to wait for a seat. Occasionally, the restaurant features live music, which varies...sometimes jazz, sometimes folk. It's clean and pleasant. Upstairs, you can look close up at the machinery used to make beer.
