Norristown's Elmwood Park Zoo is a little gem! If you have preschool children, this zoo is the perfect size for a morning's outing. They have enough animals to be interesting, but to so many that it would take all day to see them. They have really nice extra programs that you can pay a fee for and have your preschooler learn about an animal or insect in depth. There is also a very nice playground, so that the kids can run off some energy after walking around for a while. The prarie dog exhibit is a favorite of our family, as well as the pond where you can feed the ducks. A terrific place, make sure you try it out.
