Penzey's Spices is a gem of a find,with stores opening up nationally. You can tell by the simplistic decor that the emphasis is on the smell, and not the packaging. However, if you're looking for that one special spice, Penzey's will have it. I was most impressed by their varieties of cinnamon and various premade Indian spice combinations. Spices come in a variety of sizes, so you can always get a little one and try it out first. Make sure to pick up a catalog from them-- it has some great suggestions and recipes for your newfound treasures!
