I've never liked O'Toole's and I feel disloyal for saying so, but as a neighborhood regular, I always found the food greasy and tasteless, the atmosphere smoky and noisy, and the waitstaff listless and unhelpful.
Maybe it's different if you're part of some in-crowd, but I stopped going there after I realized that the fuss was all about nothing.
