I've never liked O'Toole's and I feel disloyal for saying so, but as a neighborhood regular, I always found the food greasy and tasteless, the atmosphere smoky and noisy, and the waitstaff listless and unhelpful. Maybe it's different if you're part of some in-crowd, but I stopped going there after I realized that the fuss was all about nothing. more

Great Neighboorhood Pub 8/9/2005

O'Tooles is a great restaurant and bar.It is casual and comfortable,and has really great food at affordable prices.People of all ages feel comfortable, the staff is always friendly.My only complaint is that it can get very smoky in there, but ,hey ,it is a pub!I I highly reccomend this place! more

O'Toole's is a family owned and run institution on the south side. The menu ranges from burgers to pizza to seafood. I swear it hasn't changed in the least in the 25 years since I first ate there (even the waitresses look the same). The food is good and don't forget the Guinness and Harp on tap!. more
