Don't ever have anything repaired at Teerman's. I dropped off an A/V receiver for repair which required taking the case off and soldering a connection on a board. On dropping it off, I asked for an estimate for the repair and was not given an approximate cost. The hourly repair rates are not posted, which I later was informed were $50/hr when I picked the unit up. I was not called to be informed of the job cost after diagnosis which I provided upon drop off. An outrageous sum was charged for this service. When I complained about the cost of the repair, I was told "you could have done it yourself" with no explanation of the difficulty of the repair. They really don't care about their customers or even attempt to provide reasonable customer service. I had not approved of the repairs being done at the charges which were imposed. My equipment was being held hostage and I had to pay the ransom. Worst customer service ever.
