My daughter who is bipolar adhd and impulsivity has a hormonal and chemical imbalance was recently admitted to Brynn Marr. First off we sat in the emergency room and waited 34 hours for a room for our daughter . Then once we got to the hospital they seemed very nice and concerned took our information and did a intake . I spent one hour relaying information to this lady assuming it would be used to help my daughter. They told me someone would be contacting me the next day . Needles to say I didn’t hear anything . when i went to visit her the next day she smelled like someone peed on her its was horrific. Needless to say wetting her pants when she’s angry is one of the problems i discussed with the nurse. when i asked to speak with someone . i was told they were in shift change .When i called that night to speak with a nurse I got a apology that’s this info wasn’t passed from the intake that she had these problems i was kind of upset . She was also hiding her underwear from the nurse because she didn’t want them to know. I also asked why i hadn’t been contacted and what was being done . the lady told me she was the night nurse and i would have to call back in the morning and speak to therapist well i did and i had to leave numerous messages and this lady never called me back. finally one day i demanded to sit on hold while they located here i was tired of the run around and her excuse was the number was wrong in the intake , even though every time i called i gave them my correct phone number. This does not end our list of problems id be here typing all day and they give you a limit on here . If your looking for help for your child it all boils down to this is not the place to take her.I just want others to know what’s going on there and to think about taking here out of town there the only local hospital in the area for children for this type of thing, so unless you want to drive a hour to two hours to Raleigh or somewhere else , to be honest its after my experience ill drive two hours
