I really love San Angelo. My parents do too. They came to visit for the 3rd time recently and were as smitten as ever with everyone and everything......EXCEPT for Eggemeyers!!!! I sent my mother to visit Eggemeyers whilst I went to a couple of other shops and then met up with her. She looked very downcast and her cheerful spirit was lost. She didn't say anything. We went back into the store as I had to buy something as a last minute gift. She came in with me and was astounded at how unresponsive all the staff were. Nobody looked up and smiled. They never do. I have been in a few times before, and always vow I'll never go back because of such unfriendly customer service. So why do I go back? Because I feel that "next time might be better". So, I pick something up and wait in the line for what seems ages. Again, there is no eye contact, no smile, no "I'll be with you in a minute". Nothing. The atmosphere is cold and sterile. Stiff, snooty and starchy. I make the transaction and I don't even get a "thank you" or a smile. I wish I hadn't bought anything now. They don't deserve anyone's business. Oh, I wonder if I'd have had good customer service had I picked out something massive? I know how staff can be when they smile upon those whom they think will make a big purchase. Fake all the way. I came out of the shop with my mother and she looked at me and sighed. We both said "oh - that's awful" and my mother then proceeded to tell me about her equally bad customer service when she'd been there just a little earlier. She was very alarmed at the hostility. She felt bad vibes all the way.
