My wife and I wanted a secluded, unique, well-appointed B&B in the Alton area for an anniversary weekend and the Jackson House "cave" (don't be misled - you won't feel that you're underground) was exactly what we sought. Great food, special accommodations, comfort, affordability, and private, it was well beyond what it was advertised to be.
We would recommend this B&B to anyone who does not require the universe to revolve around him.
