i went to the chabot space and science center for a business meeting. they have great services and employees to coordinate things like parties for kids and meetings for adults. it's off the beaten path away from the highway, and because of that it a good place to view star at night. in fact, i think sometimes of special nights where there may be things like shooting stars or eclipses, they may be open late for viewing. call ahead to check!
