University of Pennsylvania is a locally famous (or infamous) member of the Ivy League in Philadelphia. It is the nation's oldest university with the first medical school. Its particular strengths include its medical school, Wharton for business types, its law school, the veterinary school, and its hospital system. It also has world-class libraries like Van Pelt. Unfortunately, security considerations make much, if not all, of the campus inaccessible to visitors who cannot usually enter buildings or must enter during business hours and sign-in. In particular, the "LOVE" statue in the central walkway is featured on postcards sold throughout the city.
