The Mutter Museum, associated with the College of Physicians, is renowned for its collection of medical oddities such as the world's largest colon (from a man with Hirschsprung's Disease) and its drawers of foreign objects removed from patients' bodies. It also has special exhibits on medical history such as a popular recent one on medicine during the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The museum reportedly inspired the movie "The Elephant Man" by one-time Philadelphia native David Lynch.
