Stepping into Austin's is a little like stepping into a time machine- it looks very 1950's with cozy boothes and a counter to get ice cream at. Austin's has great comfort food (I love the tuna melt and the chili dog) as well as some yummy homemade ice cream in flavors ranging from your basic strawberry to peanut butter cookie dough to pickle (yep, I've tried the pickle flavor- a little salty for my tastes). The prices are totally reasonable, the service is usally speedy and the food is always good.
One warning- they don't take credit cards, so make sure you have cash or a check book with you.
