What can I say that is bad about the St. Louis Zoo? The monkeys smell a bit funny. But I think that’s part of the monkey job description. It is very important to eat Dippin’ Dots (very frozen tiny balls of ice cream) if you go to the zoo. Admission is free, but parking is not, so keep this in mind. Also, there are large parts of the zoo that are almost never crowded, generally containing the less well-known animals. A slight bit of obscurity, though, does not stop these creatures from being fascinating and worth your time. A note: meals in the zoo can be expensive, so wait until later and go elsewhere if possible.
