as an ashamed alumni of this high school, i would recommend everyone to send their kids elsewhere for high school (maybe kennedy?). don't be fooled by the illusory distinctive recognition of CHS... it garned such awards by its mighly motivated students.
for one, the teachers here are crap, and i don't blame them because CHS teachers are some of the lowest paid... thus no incentive to be accountable for their teaching, or most are just starting out their young teaching careers.
second, for a city that is loaded with money, the ABC school district is cash-strapped, so the resources and facilities are of the quality of a 3rd world nation.
