Cool Nice High School 2/25/2006

Cerritos High was my High School for all 4 years of my High School life. By no means it was a spectacular 4 years, but they were pretty good and I learned a lot about life and education. I thought we had a pretty good math program. Another benefit of the school is the great diversity of students. No one race is dominant at this school. A lot of the teachers are pretty cool, and some are just mean and tough. The librarians are really mean and charge you for bending your book covers. The counselors at the school are great and really guide you through school and try to set you up for your future. The school is kinda big for a high school, but you get use to it right away. I hope that this high school helps and improves other students like it helped me. more

What a disgrace of a school 8/16/2005

as an ashamed alumni of this high school, i would recommend everyone to send their kids elsewhere for high school (maybe kennedy?). don't be fooled by the illusory distinctive recognition of CHS... it garned such awards by its mighly motivated students. for one, the teachers here are crap, and i don't blame them because CHS teachers are some of the lowest paid... thus no incentive to be accountable for their teaching, or most are just starting out their young teaching careers. second, for a city that is loaded with money, the ABC school district is cash-strapped, so the resources and facilities are of the quality of a 3rd world nation.
