Someone mentioned brunch places on Bainbridge, this is indeed the perfect Seattle outing as long as it is nice. Take the ferry out to Bainbridge. Walk on and its easy.
Then, take a stroll through the park and get to the Streamline Diner. Its a classic breakfast place. We have their cookbook which is awesome, but big muffins, homemade quiche, its the b0mb!
