A friend of mine always goes to Evvia for special occasions, but I have to say that Mediterranean food didn't sound particularly appealing to me. However, we all went for her birthday and I was incredibly impressed with the place. Great atmosphere w/a beautiful fireplace and mantle, terrific service - the waiter brought us a "sampling" from their appetizers without us even having to ask, and the food was fabulous. My friends and the waiter kept talking about the lamb which "falls off the bone." They were right - it was incredibly good. While its not like I have lamb all the time, this was easily the BEST lamb I've tasted. All the other dishes were terrific too.
