My overall experience was great. I originally brought my car in to have the A/C checked out & the USB port checked. Ended up needing a new air compressor, which needed to be ordered. I was also told I needed a new air filter & cabin filter, I opted to put those in myself. I was also recommended a coolant flush, when I did some research I found that Hyundai recommends a coolant flush at 60k miles than 30k miles thereafter. When I asked Shane why he was recommending this, he said his test told him so. I decided to opt out of it after speaking with my service manager at my place of business.
I told Shane I had a to be at work by 1, my appt was at 9, and he assured me that I would be out in time. I stayed and waited in the waiting area till 12 when my car was ready. I was pleased I left with a clean car with freezing cold A/C and got to work on time!
However (theres always a but), I was very displeased with my concern over the USB port operation. When any phone is plugged into the USB port, it flickers back and forth with being connected. I explained my concern to the kid that checked me in, and he said "yea, the genesis has had this problem" but then proceeded to say the problem is my phone. He said all his tech would do is plug his tester in and it would say it's working so there was no reason to check it out. I lease my car and don't want to be charged for a shortage in a device on the car that I attempted to get looked at. I didn't feel like the kid had my interest at heart
