It's back to Quail Run with a new dog (been there before with a couple of Rotties). I knew I had an over-excited mutt on my hands and wasn't concerned about teaching her anything as she is extremely smart (more so than me I'm afraid), but all puppies need some socialization so this was my primary reason for returning. Even though I had remembered some of the important training procedures I didn't want to mess it up and needed the help. It's nice to know that the attention to detail really matters to the staff as well as the "man in charge" Don. I liked that everyone was of the same mind and could read each others needs during training, as in the long run, I and my pooch benefited from this. The bottom line is... if you really want the full benefit of a dog as a companion as well as a devoted member of your family, communication is key (as with children). That communication can be taught by professionals that know what they are doing and can help you reach your goal. When you leave your gonna feel like a rock star, and your dog will love you that much more for it (heck, it's fun when you can obtain what seemed to be un-obtainable) - you and your dog, totally as one!
Thank you all at Quail Run for you super friendly attitude and the attention that was given to myself and everyone else in the class.
Oh... forgot to mention the boarding is superb! and I love, love, love all of the animals scattered about in cozy little living quarters (it's like a little petting zoo), love it!
