I live downtown in the historic district in a big old house that was completely remodeled 10 years ago. Therefore I have not needed a plumber for 10 years. We sprang a leak under a sink on a Sunday night and had to turn off the water for our entire house (it’s complicated but that’s what we had to do – too long to tell why). At almost 9 p.m. I called the LimRic emergency line. I was very skeptical that anyone would answer, but here came a professional and personable answer service fellow who took my info and in just minutes Stephanie called. She scheduled a service visit for the following morning. At 8:30, BJ, the Plumbing Messiah, walked in my back door. I could have cried I was so glad to see him. At first he thought the leak was from a broken pipe in the wall behind a 12-foot marble kitchen cabinet and the entire cabinet would have to come out, a nightmare scenario. He advised me of a worst-case price, but said it could be less. But he was very honest with a low to high quote. After closer investigation, he isolated the problem which turned out to be much simpler, and thank goodness, it only took an hour to replace the broken widget. He could have crawled around under my house for a couple of hours and rattled a lot of tools, but he was honest and didn’t clip me for $500, which I have had happen before with unscrupulous service people who always try to upsell me. I hate that and I never call those folks again. Because of BJ, who is actually the Service Manager and normally does not make calls, LimRic has earned my trust. I will call them and only them from now on!
