Heartless personnel and management\r \r Nothing whatever of your personal story matters to the heartless underlings who decide if you can see one of their doctors. Unlike receptionists who will tell you if and when you can be seen, they probe you for details and make judge, jury and executioner decisions based on their own perceptions and biases--as if they revel in their little authorities even though they are misapplying them and hurting real people. If you have a substance abuse problem, the practice has created a maze of unnecessary and costly ""induction"" phases not covered by insurance to fleece all but the rich who can pass this financial gauntlet. Don't even bother trying to appeal to management for any individualized care based on your personal suffering--they seem to get paid to be heartless and dismissive. It doesn't matter if you're 60 and rife with life-long pain and need the power of a doctor who can choose to be compassionate if you have documentation that would cover their liability issues--the intake coordinator and director who are not doctors will spout the same one-size-fits-all dismissal regardless of the type of suffering you'll face. They are about themselves entirely--patients are units of necessary evil for them to get paid-- and the underlings believe you're nothing but a uniform liability to be dispensed with. I hope there is a hell just for them. They have no idea what decisions mentally unwell and sleep-deprived human beings make for relief when legit medicine keeps failing and judge everyone as if 100% lucid and sane when having made the choice to self medicate. It's unconscionable. more
