I bought a groupon here especially because of the promise of daily workouts, every 30 minutes, no need to schedule ahead of time. I can this see as appealing to anyone who has a very busy, unpredictable schedule- which I think the staff should understand...\r What I didn't realize was that they don't let you start the bootcamp until you have the 90 minute evaluation and they have a limited number of slots open for that. In my case- I tried to book it twice. Both times, the appointments were for a week-long wait and in my profession, things will certainly change in a week.\r The first appointment I had to cancel a day ahead of time- I emailed them, then I called and left a message. Eventually, I guess the trainer returned my call and said ""its really relaxed here, don't worry about it, this won't count against you."" SO I tried to book again, and again waited another week which was today.\r Today I was running late and I was at the Dallas loc on Mockingbird about 15 min past the appointment time- the bulky man who himself is most likely a trainer, behind his computer says ""how can I help you"" and I think I immediately sensed he does not know about customer service is as he really already sounded hostile.\r I said that I was late and I'm sorry- he cuts me off that the trainer already left and had I phoned or been on time this could've been avoided. Yes- absolutely this is true and I never negated it, I do know that at the first appointment I only got voicemail and I didn't try again this time. Their bulky desk man decides he will keep repeating that this is my fault, I didn't call and the trainer left because he's so busy. I say that my appointment was until noon, since his time was reserved can you just grab the phone and call him to return-- NOPE absolutely not, I won't be inconveniencing my trainer because he's so busy. I explain to him that I have a hectic schedule and very few days off, when can we reschedule= both options were again week long waits and at times I couldn't make. Then I state well can I just start the bootcamp without the evaluation-- NOPE absolutely not, I won't know how their system works. So I ask why did you do Groupon if your trainers are so busy and you have so few appointments? I swear once again he reminded me that it was my fault that I should stop justifying my mistake this morning (which I corrected him that trying to reschedule or completely just omitting the evaluation are not justifications rather- I'm trying to work with him to get what I meant to do). And then he tells me that he had nothing to do with the Groupon- which is now like talking to the wall as I wouldn't expect him personally to have gotten the Groupon deal rather I'm asking him as a representative of his workplace what the deal was since clearly they are booming with business and cannot handle new business.\r Aha and then he tried to compare the appointment with the trainer with a Doctor's appointment which is GENIUS as I am A DOCTOR. Do I give my patients a 30 minute window- yes, and really I give them more then that as making the effort to make the appointment is indication enough to offer them the courtesy.\r I REFUNDED MY GROUPON- UNLESS YOU DON""T HAVE A JOB AND ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD THEN DO NOT COME HERE. ALSO IF YOU DON""T CARE FOR COURTESY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I also filed a claim to groupon as I really like groupon and I don't want places like these to get that kind of advertisement. more
