We definitely would not recommend the LimRic plumbing business to anyone. When we called to request service, after the deep freeze in Charleston last week, we were told that the charge for plumbing service on Saturday would be $139. We were not told that the charge on Monday would be $39. When the plumber came and looked at the situation with two frozen outside faucet heads, he said that the LimRic company charges by the job, not by the hour and he has a book with the fixed charges for each type of service. Because the faucet heads were located at different positions or had different heads, there would be different charges for the two jobs. In the end they charged $330 for fixing the two faucet heads (which is the same cost as on a week day, we were told) and $140 for showing up at our house. The job took Clint a total of one hour, and cost us $470.00. How a company can justify this cost is hard to imagine. It may be legal, but it certainly is not ethical.
