They may appear very friendly when you walk through the door, but when a problem with their work arises, they don't make it right. I was rear ended and my rear bumper needed a touch up due to a couple of deep scratches left by the other car's front license plate. On my Honda, like many newer vehicles, all the body panels have a ""tamper-proof"" sticker with the serial number so any potential buyer down the road can tell if you have replaced the body pieces for one reason or another. Caldwell's shop didn't bother to mask over the sticker and thus painted right over it. Now, it would appear that my car could have been in some major accident that required the entire bumper to be replaced. In the used car world, this decreases the resale price of your car since it draws attention to question its history. When I brought it to their attention, they first tried to blame previous work (none done). They said there was nothing they could do. I understand mistakes happen, but take accountability and make it right! I would not go back as there are too many other good, honest body shops in Charlotte.
