I've been to the Spinnerstown Hotel probably 80+ times over the last 7-8 years. I go to the monthly ""Meet the Brewer"" events, and meet my family for dinner. The food is great - chef Karl always made good food, but the new chef Ricky (2012) is even better. Hal does most of the beer ordering, and he always has something on tap that I've never had. There are weekly and seasonal events, with the musician Craig Thather being a centerpiece (he is awesome). Yes, some of the menu items are expensive, and you have to watch out for the bar tab if you have several beers, but the experience is definitely worth the premium. If you're on the cheap, I'm sure you could get out of there with a burger, fries, and a beer for $15-$20.
