who would think of a place like this being in a sleepy little village ? They have over 100 specialty beers available, an impressive tap list, and a menu to die for. Prices very reasonable too. A must-visit if you're in this area ! more

Went for dinner on a weeknight with a friend. We were offered the formal dining room or the pub. We chose the pub and were seated in a comfy booth. There were an eclectic choice of beers on tap but the waitress directed us to what she though we'd like by our descriptions of out typical choices, and she was right! The food was delicious...mussels were fab, and the duck ravioli special was a great autumnal dish complete with pumpkin seeds. I would definitely go back for a date or with family! more

A pretty good restaurant tucked away here.... We had the braised short rids, the fish and also tried the ostrich quesedilla. Very impressed with the quality of the food (and the ingredients that went into it). Would highly recommend the food. more

We thoroughly enjoyed out dinner at the Spinnerstown Restaurant. The location was easy to fine from the turnpike exit. The history of the building is interesting and the atmosphere is nice and comfortable but not elegant. The menu includes wine selections with the various dishes which is very helpful. The menu was varied so there were choices for those who prefer seafood, meat or meatless dishes. Serving sizes were reasonable not gluttonous. My husband selected a dessert from the dessert tray and was favorably impressed. Our server was informative, pleasant and we were neither rushed nor ignored. We will certainly return when in the area. Really good experience! more

We ate there quite by chance and will certainly go back. This is one of those long-time family places, with a busy bar, Irish influence, large portions with some creative menu offerings, and hundreds of custom and crafted beers from which to choose. Great service, with a comfy booth in the main tap room, lots of families and locals were dining there. Just about 2 minutes from the PA Tpke. Friendly service. Ostrich on the menu but out of it the night we ate there was the only disappointment! About a 10 minute wait without a reservation on a Saturday night at 6. more

I've been to the Spinnerstown Hotel probably 80+ times over the last 7-8 years. I go to the monthly ""Meet the Brewer"" events, and meet my family for dinner. The food is great - chef Karl always made good food, but the new chef Ricky (2012) is even better. Hal does most of the beer ordering, and he always has something on tap that I've never had. There are weekly and seasonal events, with the musician Craig Thather being a centerpiece (he is awesome). Yes, some of the menu items are expensive, and you have to watch out for the bar tab if you have several beers, but the experience is definitely worth the premium. If you're on the cheap, I'm sure you could get out of there with a burger, fries, and a beer for $15-$20. more

We went to this establishment to try some of the micro brews that are available from their awesome drink selection of beers and wines. We ended up finding more than a few great beers. Nice establishment, friendly staff and patrons, and fantastic food. We are planning a return trip in four days. more

This is a pretty large place. The patio area is a nice area to hang out during the nicer months. It's covered and they do a good job of making it a comfortable extension of their dining area. Lots of beers on tap and service is really top-notch. There is an ostrich farm behind the place and it is on the menu. Really enjoyed this restaurant. more

I have been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to review this fine establishment since creating my TripAdvisor profile a few months ago. To call this place ""fine"" or ""great"" or some other cliche, non-descriptive modifier would simply be an insult to your intelligence. The Spinnerstown Inn is just one of those places you can't help but appreciate if you frequent dining in what they call ""Buc-Le"". Every one of their offerings is handcrafted goodness, fit for a local sire and his matron. A splendid atmosphere that invokes the desire to converse with your party. You'd have to try really hard to not enjoy your time here. more
