I went into Ray Chevy in Fox Lake on The 9th. I bought a 2012 Sonic from them 1 year ago. It was the worst experience I have ever had. They got me to give them a good review with a free tank of gas and empty promises. But I gave it to them. So I figured now I would give them a second chance and trade in my year old car for a new one. So on the 9th I went in there I was there for 20 min. They ran my credit and said ok now what is your income. I am a disabled vet and have a VA paycheck. I also receive BAH from the VA while I am attending school. The finance guy at the front desk there said yea this wont work they wont accept this as an income and would give me no explanation as to why. So I went home and called the finance company that I had for my sonic and talked to them about this, they said no we will accept it as long as you have a pay stub to prove the income. I called Ray Chevy back talked to the same guy that said no to me when I was there. His response was ""no they are wrong I cant help you, I can put you in a car and ask you to bring it back a few days later"" I hung up the phone jumped in my car and drove to Gary Lang Chevy in McHenry. I walked in and sat down bashed Ray Chevy while I was there and explained why I was upset with them. Gary Lang ran my credit looked at my 2012 sonic as a trade made me an offer on it and I picked out a 2013 Equinox. Great experience. Here I am almost a month later in a 2013 Equinox and guess what Ray Chevy the deal is already funded. Had no problems getting the financing and I got a great interest rate. So what the finance guy at the front counter was really saying to me was "" Yea I was wrong and don't want to admit it and don't want return business"" Ray Chevy is a horrible dealership customer service is horrible they are in the Make it right business not the get it right. Im sure some people go there and have a great time but twice now I have gone there and had nothing but problems with this dealership. I will never return to them again and will never in my life refer someone to them. If you have had a problem with this dealer please go to Gary Lang chevy on 31 in McHenry see a salesman named Bill and have the best sales experience of your life.
