My 7 year old Doberman is my baby so I freaked out when she was fine one minute and unable to walk the next. Our vet diagnosed Wobblers and referred us to this hospital for surgery and I admit, I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews. However, from the second we arrived to the second we took our dog home, our experience was a good one. \r

The staff was friendly and plentiful - you can't walk 3 feet without running into someone who works there. The neurologist we saw (Dr. Carerra) was AMAZING and explained everything to us using terminology we understood. She was not only familiar with the surgery itself but with the breed and I felt comfortable leaving her in her hands. They promised phone calls to follow up and they came as promised. When we had questions, they took their time to answer them. I never felt rushed or like I was bothering anyone. We never waited more than 10 minutes to see someone either. \r

I will agree that this place isn't cheap. I think a lot of the negative reviews are due to this but I can't in good conscience rate it based on that alone. The place is immaculate, it's huge, the doctors are experienced and it's got state of the art equipment - you really can't ask for more. I believe you pay for what you get and I feel that while they do charge more than other places, it's worth every penny. \r

My dog is home now and has starting to slowly walk again. I won't return to this office for regular visits (I avoid LA like the plague) but I am very, very thankful they were there for us when we needed them. I can't recommend them enough.
