Plumber giving estimate was good guy and new his stuff. Unfotunately the pricing was so high and the support staff unhelpful that I will never even call them again let alone do business with them. In short, I needed 4 toilet internals swapped out and a new gasket in a shutoff valve. A job that requires, as quoted by plumber, less than $40 in parts and less than three hours of work. The quote you ask?.....$750.00+. That equates to over $200 per labor hour. Now, I am a fan of people making money. But that is a bit of a stretch for a homeowner to swallow.. I declined as politely as I could. I later remembered that since I just bought this house, I could use my home warranty. I called home warranty people (nice as can be) and got it all ined up in terms of work and claims filed.( I knew exact needs as plumber explained very well.- Thanks btw). Warranty folks would pay all the plumbing costs and I would pay $50 deductible. No hassel. No bartering. All I had to do was have any professional plumber of my choice call them to confirm work was actually being done. Crazy me. Feeling a little sorry for the nice plumber who got short end of stick, I called Atta Boy. I explain to service person (15+ yrs exp) we are all lined up all I need is for plumber to make quick call to warranty people. You guessed it, they refused to make call...Really?......Really? They do not like working with home warranty people because ""...they hire unprofessional people and will never pay what Atta Boy will charge...""..That was final straw. These folks are shady in my book. Too bad for hard working plumbers there......
